Food Giveaways

Triangle Giveaways: Juju

Can you guys believe it’s February already? Time is flying by!

We’ve got a few more giveaways on the horizon. We got off schedule with some household things, so we’ll have a giveaway this week as well as next week in anticipation of Valentine’s Day.

On to this week’s giveaway. Remember when we wrote about Juju?

juju durham lemon yuzuWell, the kind folks over there are giving away a $50 gift card to a lucky reader. How awesome is that? Perhaps to be used for a romantic dinner? All of the food we ate and highlighted in our review could be had with this $50 gift card.

juju dumplingsSo, let’s get to the important part- how to enter. Leave us a comment at the bottom of this page telling us the person you would most like to take out to dinner and why (to make it interesting, this person could be dead or alive, fictional or in the flesh)- it’s that easy. One entry per email address. It may take a little bit for your comment to show because we approve each comment individually. Also, we won’t use your email address for anything other that to contact you if you win- promise. We hate spam too.

This giveaway will run until Friday, February 5th at 8pm. We will announce the winner Saturday morning on the 9th.

I would take my significant other because he does so much for me. I have some health issues and he always takes care of me when I need him and is so supportive of everything I do.
He deserves a nice meal to celebrate.

I would love to go to dinner with my amazing partner- after our first child was born a year ago we havent had as much time to enjoy just being ourselves anymore. While I love being mom and dad together, its hard to find time to focus on us outside of those new roles.

I would like to take my mom, she is fighting her third cancer. Right now, she is doing better and she loves to eat and try new restaurants. I told her that Juju’s calamari is amazing, I tried on my anniversary lunch with my husband last year.

I would take my best friend who was fired while having to take care of his husband with end stage cancer. It simply was beyond the pale to be treated like that and she deserves more kindness than pain.

I would take my husband. We went to Juju when it opened and loved it but I can’t remember the last time we went out for a nice dinner between our work schedules and kids. Plus we have another baby on the way so things are just going to get more crazy!

I’d love to take my mom to dinner. My parents retired to Sanford about 16 years ago — I moved her a year ago. Mom died in August 2014, so she never saw my new house here and her first great-grandchild was only 6 months old. I’d love to tell her about him, his new baby brother, and let her know how my dad is doing, now that we have moved him to Durham.

I’d love to take my girlfriend since our anniversary coincides with the prize drawing perfectly and it’d make a great story. I love her tons…she’s smart and excellent to talk to, fun to be with, and cute. We love eating in the Triangle’s restaurants but we’re also trying to save money as best as we can. Thanks for this giveaway!

I would like to share a meal with my grandmother. She and I were very close; I came over to her house all the time, and we talked constantly. Now I am in my first year of college, and we miss each other greatly. Texting is one thing (she’s not the best at using her phone), but hearing someone’s voice or seeing them face to face has much more weight. Sadly, my grandmother’s hearing has declined, and we can no longer talk on the phone. I can’t go home very often, and it would be nice to catch up and… Read more »

I would take my nana. It’s been three and a half years since she became my angel and I would give anything to have one more dinner with her. Id love to tell her about her great grandson who just turned six months old. If only heaven weren’t so far away, but because it is I would take my wonderful husband. He is my rock and I would love to have a lovely dinner just the two of us

I would like to enjoy a meal with Leslie Knope from the TV show, Parks and Recreation, because I’m pretty sure an episode from that show was the first time I heard the word “juju” used. Before that, I didn’t know “juju” was a word that meant magic/luck/vibe, and now I know! Plus, I could really use some Leslie Knope optimism and cheer in my life right now!

I would take my mom, who has done so much for me and my children in the last 6 months. She has been there for me when I needed her most. I just never thought that time would be in my late 30’s. I could never repay the debt, but a nice dinner is a good place to start!

I would love to taje my husband. We had a baby this summer with many health issues and i had struggles with post partum depression. My husband stepped up more than any husband i know to continue his job, coach soccer, taking college classes, and being my rock thru the tears, fears and long nights. I cant think of anyone who deserves it more!

I would take my mother. We been homeless, moved from place to place, finally got a stable place and we recently lost our jobs. So we struggle everyday. I want to be able to take her out to let her know that her only grandbaby (16 months) and only daughter, loves and appreciate her.

I would take my significant other, Joe, but if I could take anyone I would probably take Steve Jobs. He would probably judge my food choice ( I am in no way a vegetarian), but I want to hear about his adventures in India and what he learned in failing, failing, failing, and finally hitting success with Apple. I recently listened to his autobiography and would love a couple of hours to pick his mind!

My dad. He passed away 5 years ago. Before we moved to NC. My kids were babies. I’d love to catch up with him and show him the area we now call home. I’d love him to be here and healthy enough to go out a grab a good dinner with me.

I would love to win this giveaway to take my amazing wife out to dinner. She is the heroic, selfless, caring, loving stay at home mom of our high needs baby and we rarely get a chance by ourselves to do something along these lines. Thank you to the site for putting on this giveaway and good luck to everyone!

I would like to win this for my parents. They just had a newborn. And it’s kinda hard for them to go out just them. So I think this would be a good start to a nice evening for them.

I would love to take my little brother to dinner. He would have been the most amazing uncle, as he loved kids, had a charismatic personality and love affair with theatre. He was passionate about the food he prepared and ate, almost as much as he was about the intense, romantic, and satisfying relationships he held with his friends and family. Dining out in Durham wouldn’t be a quick occasion, rather a meaningful lengthy affair, consisting of slow sipped cocktails, and deep conversations about worldly matters and matters of no importance at all.

I would love to take our neighbor to dinner. We don’t have any family here in the states and our neighbor does a lot of things for us like cousin, mom, and dad. Even the couple takes care of my daughter like their grandchildren. For example, Yesterday was my daughter’s sixth birthday and they brought small cake and present for her. We are lucky to have these great neighbor and want to do something special to them just like they have been doing for us. They deserve this!

I would take God to dinner, because I would love to hear some feedback of what I have done right and wrong in my life thus far. Also, he could tell me how my family who is in heaven is doing and give me a little bit more of an understanding of both life and death and the reasoning behind both.
